Elliott Dugan says Barry Town United will head to The New Saints full of belief after his hat-trick helped The Town maintain their perfect start to the Cymru Premier season.
Dugan was the star of the show on Bank Holiday Monday, netting three times as Steve Jenkins’ side recorded an impressive 4-1 victory away at Briton Ferry Llansawel.
The result made it six wins from six for Barry and sets up a huge early-season encounter at Park Hall on Saturday.
Reflecting on his hat-trick and another three points, Dugan said:
“Delighted to get three goals and the three points to keep the run going. I’m happy to contribute to the team any way I can.”

Barry’s perfect start has seen Jenkins’ side find different ways to pick up victories, from late winners and comeback victories to convincing performances on the road.
For Dugan, the togetherness within the squad has been just as important as the quality on the pitch.
“There’s a massive belief within the group. We know the quality we have, but I think the togetherness is just as important.
“We know we can win games in different ways, and that’s been a big reason behind our start.”
The forward is also playing with plenty of confidence himself after an excellent opening to the campaign.
“I feel confident going into every game, and that doesn’t change depending on the opposition.
“We’re in good form at the moment, but we know we have to keep working and keep building on it.”
Next up: The New Saints
Attention now turns to Saturday and a meeting with The New Saints at Park Hall.
TNS have been the benchmark in Welsh domestic football for several seasons, but Dugan insists Barry will travel north believing they are capable of getting a result.
“TNS have set the standard for a long time, but we’re not going there just to make up the numbers.
“We know we’re more than good enough to get a result.”
And Dugan finished with a message for the Barry supporters making the journey:
“Let’s get as many fans there as we can. Your support gives us that extra push, and you’ve been amazing this season.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing you all again on Saturday.”
