Barry Town United vs Abergavenny Town | JD Cymru South | Match Report

Barry earned their first home points of the season with a 5-2 win over newly promoted Abergavenny Town, leading 4-0 at the break.

Josh Graham scored Barry’s opener after 15 minutes, with Kayne McLaggon extending the lead after 25 minutes, Chris Hugh providing the assist for both goals.

McLaggon scored a second, and Barry’s third, before Jordan Cotterill burst through to score Barry’s fourth, just before half-time. That left both players level on 82 goals each for the club.

Abergavenny started the second half better, with Ben Watkins pulling back a goal after the hour.

With ten minutes left, Barry substitute Liam Warman scored his first competitive goal for Barry, ensuring there would be no heroic comeback from the visitors. Nevertheless, Drew Heffernan scored a late consolation to make it 5-2 on the night.
