The Town are back on the road this Friday as we make the short trip to Bridgend for Matchday 13 of the Novira Cymru Premier.
Following a fantastic 1-0 victory away at Caernarfon last Saturday, The Town will be looking to make it back-to-back away wins and close the gap on the sides above us.
Penybont currently sit 3rd in the Novira Cymru Premier, with The Town in 4th — with just two points separating the sides.
The Opposition
Founded: 2013 (following the merger of Bridgend Town and Bryntirion Athletic)
Nickname: Bont
Manager: Rhys Griffiths
Distance from Jenner Park: 20 miles
Penybont have made an impressive start to the campaign, winning eight of their opening 12 league fixtures, alongside three draws and one defeat.
That defeat came last Saturday, as Bont suffered their first loss of the season, going down 1-0 away at Colwyn Bay.
Friday’s fixture will also see Noah Daley return to the DragonBet Stadium to face his former teammates.
The Town will have fond memories of our last visit to the DragonBet Stadium, with the venue hosting the 2025/26 Nathaniel MG Cup final.
Barry produced a memorable performance that evening, defeating English side The New Saints 2-0 to lift the trophy and bring it back to Jenner Park.
