Two second half headers from Kayne McLaggon earned Barry the three points away at newly promoted Pontardawe Town.
The home side took a tenth minute lead against the run of play when Gabriel Kircough took advantage of a lapse in the Barry defence on the half-way line and slotted the ball coolly past the ‘keeper.
Barry dominated possession throughout the game, but failed to turn that into clear-cut chances.
The equaliser came early in the second half, when a corner from the Barry right was headed in at the front post by Kayne McLaggon, celebrating the birth of his daughter Sienna the day before.
Barry’s match-winning second goal came with six minutes remaining, and was an almost carbon copy of the first. This time, though, McLaggon’s header was glanced across the goal into the far corner, securing three valuable points on the road.
