Barry Town United AFC will host its officialStrategy Launch Event at Jenner Park Stadium on Thursday 20th November 2025 (9:00 AM – 11:30 AM).

The event will bring together local businesses, sponsors and community partners, as the club outlines its bold new five-year vision for sustainable growth, community impact, and footballing success.

The session will include insights from club leadership on the future direction of Barry Town United, including plans for facilities development, community engagement, commercial partnerships, and on-pitch performance targets.

Chairman Mark Barrett and members of the board will present how the club’s next phase aligns with the FAW’s wider strategic pillars, reinforcing Barry Town’s position as one of Wales’ most progressive community-owned football clubs.

“This launch marks a new chapter for Barry Town United,” said Mark Barrett. “It’s about building a club that thrives both on and off the pitch — one that brings real value to Barry, The Vale, and everyone connected with our football community.”

Local businesses, council partners, and community organisations are encouraged to attend as the club looks to continue to build meaningful partnerships that improve the future of our great Town.

Supporters are also welcome to attend and can RSVP by emailing Ollie Waterhouse at Ollie.Waterhouse@barrytown.co.uk to confirm their place. However, we are fully aware given this is a morning event this isn’t workable for all supporters and have also organised a seperate session to accommodate our key stakeholders our supporters.

To ensure every fan feels part of the journey, Barry Town United will also host a supporter-focused strategy evening in due course.
This follow-up event will give fans the chance to hear directly from club representatives, ask questions, and contribute ideas about the future of the club, from matchday experience and community activity to supporter engagement and volunteering opportunities.

Match Preview – Flint Town

Barry Town vs Flint Town preview

By Dylan MacIsaac

JD Cymru Premier action returns to Jenner Park this Saturday as the Yellows prepare to take on Flint Town United. A 4-1 drubbing away at Colwyn Bay last week saw Barry edge their way back into the top six ahead of Bala Town on goal difference and end a run of five league fixtures without a win. Ieuan Owen and Robbie Willmott each netted a brace to spark the spectacular triumph, and another inspired performance ensued with a 2-0 win away at Haverfordwest County in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

This weekend’s opposition come into the fixture off the back of successive defeats to Cardiff Met and Penybont respectively and have failed to pick up points in four of their last five outings. The Silkmen shipped four goals in each of those games, so paired with Barry’s recent barrage of goals it should make for a high-scoring encounter.

An up and down season to this point sees Flint sit 9th in the standings, five points adrift of Barry and the all-important top six. Frontman Elliott Reeves has still managed to forge an exceptional solo season, sitting second in the scoring tables for the campaign with nine. The former JD Cymru North player of the season bagged a hat-trick against Llanelli Town just three games ago, and with four goals in that spell he will be the one to watch for the Town.

Barry boast an excellent record against Saturday’s opponents: three wins and a draw in their last five meetings is formidable form and will serve as encouragement that their upturn in results can be sustained.

Star man Ieuan Owen has found his scoring boots as of late, and with three goals in his last two appearances he will be full of confidence heading into a fixture he has scored in before.

Three wins on the bounce for the Town would be a huge step towards keeping pace with the league’s frontrunners, and with both sides prone to high-scoring games, Saturday promises to be a thrilling matchup.
